Summer schools 2011The week-long IMB summer schools go into their third year in September 2010. The fields of interest this time are Cardiovascular Science and Neuroscience.
EligibilityThe courses are aimed at undergraduate students and postgraduates, primarily from biomedical departments or courses within the UK, who may not have previously held a Home Office licence, but who are thinking of pursuing a career in biomedical research and who consider that this training could play an important part in their careers. It may also be possible to accommodate post-doctoral workers on these courses subject to availability. All applicants must be eligible by residence for an UK research council studentship. The residence requirement is a minimum of three years’ ordinary residence in the UK immediately prior to the start of the summer school. For EU nationals, full time work or education now count toward ordinary residence. Overseas candidates are normally not eligible unless they have worked in the UK for a minimum of three years prior to taking the course. |
